The above phrase by Katherine Johnson describes perfectly what I love the most. I am a lifelong learner with a maker spirit. I love spending hours learning something new and working on exciting new projects involving technology, science, and movies.
With my recent experience, I specialized in data analysis and recommendation systems. I am always looking for projects that seek to transform information into value for the community we live in.

The basic facts about myself
I have learned to create solutions with different tools.
I obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechatronics which encouraged my passion for learning and discovering how stuff works. I breifly worked in the steel industry with one of the world's leading companies, where I learned about the production environment, quality standards and customer satisfaction. With a master's degree in both Computer Science and Education, I developed a strong scientific mindset with a cognitive approach, alongside the technical skillset that allows me to face the many challenges in today's fast-growing information world.

I design challenging projects to foster creativity and innovation in kids ages 9 to 17. I specialize in creating engaging hands-on experiences through which children learn the basics of electronics, mechanics and computer science.
Due to the COVID19 restrictions, we launched the first online AP courses. We are currently studying how children learn in this environment to identify the main challenges and implement the best practices to procure active learning.

I was part of the ISO/TS:16949 certification of the plant and was responsible of the completition of all relevant documents, which required special attention to detail and a statistical mindset.
I worked closely with customers' standards satisfaction, and monitored performance complaints solutions and customer service satisfaction.
I also implemented a data analysis engine to deliver relevant product quality insights.

I worked in a project to monitor and reduce the fuel consumption of the main furnace in the production line, for which I developed and implemented control measures to standardize operational practices. Also, I mentored continual improvement projects led by operative teams and together we won the national competition in the safety category.

I was granted the Academic Excellence Scholarship from Tecnologico de Monterrey while also being recipient of the National Graduate Studies Scholarship from the Mexican’s National Council for Science and Technology (CONACyT).
I specialised in probabilistic graphical models to build recommendation systems using Bayesian networks. I developed an algorithm that combines expert knowledge with data insights into a context aware model for movie recommendations.

I received partial financial aid from UVM and the Department of Public Education (Secretaria de Educacion Publica - SEP) to support my studies.
I specialized in innovation and educational technologies. I collaborated with educators all across the country, with diverse backgrounds and teaching at different school levels. We designed and implemented applied research projects that can transform learning environments and bring the classroom revolution we need today.

I studied Mechatronics Engineering with an academic scholarship by Tecnologico de Monterrey and graduated with honours.
I became proficient with electronic and mechanic design to implement automated projects, from self-driving mini-robots to motion stabilizers for Parkinson's Disease patients.
I have worked with academic and start-uo projects. Different as they are, they have allowed me to keep learning and working hard to obtain the desired results.
I co-wrote a book chapter about statistical reasoning for the book "Conocimiento y Razonamiento Computacional" (Computational Knowledge and Reasoning) published by AMEXCOMP (Mexican Academy of Computer Science).
I developed an algorithm for movie recommendations based on expert knowledge and context information. CineScope uses Bayesian networks to estimate how much you would like watching a movie.
We are closing the gap between teachers and learners around the world. Our goal is to integrate high end technology, like AI and VR, into engaging online learning environments.
We offer courses, after-school programs, summer camps, and competitions for promoting creative thinking and computational skills in young people. Recently we launched the first online version of the programs.

From sampling to analysis, statistics is a tool that helps to obtain strong and accurate results. Designing, running, and analyzing experiments requires statistical methods to offer reliable answers to solve specific challenges.
Analyzing and interpreting patterns in data enable learning, reasoning, and decision making. Statistical information combined with insightful visualizations allows us to obtain relevant information where it seems to be none.
Designing and implementing the best computational algorithm is the key to create value and enhance decision making. Discovering patterns, variables and features always come not only from good programming skills but from a solid analytical background.
Challenging projects often require a multidiscipliary solution. I like to work in teams and build a collaborative environment. Working with diverse groups always foster creativity, innovation and learning.
My native language is Spanish. I'm fluid in English and I know the basics of German. I know a bit of French, and I'm currently learning Esperanto.
I like to go hands-on in any project, to work in the idea and build the complete final product. Building things is a hobby for me, and I want to share it with the world.
